1939 Boxing Advertising,Cover, franked with #807, legal-sized envelope with purple and red advertisement for the Sept. 7, 1939 fight between Tony "Newark Night Stick" Galento vs. Lou "Alameda Assassin" Nova. It also shows a large picture of Galento and a referree in ring with Joe Louis on the floor (Full disclosure: this is from June 28 fight where Galento knocked Louis down in the 3rd round, but Joe Louis won the fight by knockout in the 4th round). Cover with "SUMMIT/N.J./SPE 4/6 PM/1939" cds cancel with wavy lines, vertical tear at right through address, not affecting advertisement. Very exciting piece of sports history! (Image)

The front cachet devoted to the military aspect of the area and the reverse cachet devoted to the history of the county. Front shows pcitures of all the aircraft and military flight service pins, plus a map, pinpointing the locations of Aloe Field and Foster Field and explaining how they got their names. Also, with blue green hs cachet commemorating the First Mail Flight for Aloe Air Field. The reverse is covered with the history of the area and with cattle brands of the area.
