image 1930 Plane Crash, Cover, AAMC-Interrupted Flight Covers #30.15. Cover with NYC Dec. 19, 1930 cds ccl, stamp missing but "OK" written in spot where it was. Cover has smoke damage, light burn marks, taped at ends with purple "DAMAGED BY AIRPLANE WRECK/DECEMBER 22, 1930", addressed to Taft, CA. The plane crashed while landing in Alhambra, CA after having engine trouble, the aftermath being burned and water-soaked mail. Nice piece of history! Cat($40) (Image)
