MINN./SEP 19/2PM/AIR MAIL", has cachet by Northwest Airways, Inc. commemorating the visit of Dieudonne Costes and Maurice Bellonte, French aviators, on a (30) state tour of the U.S. in Sept and Oct 1930. Typed note in upper left corner tells of a special Post Office set up at Minneapolis' WOLD-CHAMBERLAIN FIELD for their visit. Also, has First Flight cachet on reverse for TWIN CITIES TO WINNEPEG International Airmail on February 2, 1931. Interesting cover! Very good condition with ink and pencil note on back (Image)
