image U.S., Costes-Bellonte Tour Collection, 1930, Dieudonné Costes and Maurice Bellonte made the westward crossing of the Atlantic Ocean in September 1930 in their plane, the "Question Mark"; following a tremendous ovation in New York City, they flew to Dallas to claim a $25,000 prize; 57 tour covers are contained in a single volume with perhaps a third autographed by the local Postmaster; virtually all are on Airmail envelopes and were postally used; seldom encountered and attractive, Fine to Very Fine.
