image 1870, 3¢ green, N.B.N.C. printing, double kiss impression (Scott 147 var), an eye-catching variety, with "U.S. Postage" and vignette's background re-impressed at Washington's forehead; the stamp fresh, tied by double-ring "Northampton/Aug/5/ME." c.d.s. and adjacent four-ring target; a few perforations rubbed at top due to stamp placement; oil stain in address panel of no consequence; with enclosure, Fine to Very Fine, add some cachet to your Bank Note collection, with 1983 A.P.S. certificate.
