Pkt., Cape Town and Port Elizabeth (Feb 16), London Paid transit c.d.s (Jan 2) on the front. Carried on the Cunarder "Asia" to Queenstown, red "56" (cents) denoting the amount due from the U.S Post Office to the British Post Office, and "2" (pence) due from G.B to the Cape Post Office. BANK NOTE E" in right wing margin), each cancelled "PAID" within a barred circle, reverse with senders cachet of Iasigi, Goddard & Co in Boston and datestamps of Boston Br. Pkt, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth (also the collectors handstamp "HENRY C. GIBSON COLLECTION / WARD SALE 12"), London Paid transit c.d.s (Jan 28) on the front. Carried on the Cunarder "Australasian" to Queenstown, red "28" (cents, due from the U.S Post Office to the British Post Office) and handstruck "1d" (due from G.B to the Cape Post Office).
