Airmail - Overseas 1930 PAPUA Airoplane overprint on 3d. black & bright blue-green, HARRISON printing from pos. R1/4, used along with 1916-31 5d. (SG 106) on registered cover sent by J.G. Spychiger from Port Moresby to Salamaua in 1935, both tied by "PORT MORESBY PAPUA/14 JA 35" c.d.s. Unfortunately, the cover has been cleaned resulting in loss of colour intensity on the 3d., otherwise fine. (One of the great rarities of Papua, absent from the Belknap, Harrison, Courtis, Sepik & Croaker collections. Believed to be one of only three used examples of this stamps, and one of only two on cover. Only two sheets of 40 were issued.
