image 1880's-1890's, three covers from Singapore or Penang to Colchester in England, two of them registered, two covers franked by two singles of QV 10c. slate, a 1895 cover by 8c. blue pair and 5c. brown, plus a fourth cover from Singapore to the U.S.A. in 1897 bearing six QV stamps 1c., 3c. and 8c., one further adhesive missing. Slightly mixed condition but still a good quartet of covers.

image 1895 Double-weight cover from Penang to India franked on back by 16 of 1892 1c. on 8c. green (vertical strip of six & two vert. stripes of five), all cancelled by Penang oval of bars (Prouf K15), with "C/PENANG/AP 25/95" c.d.s. on front, Indian transit and arrival datestamps on the reverse. Cover's front and back separated, edges with faults affecting two stamps, and toned; nevertheless an attractive and unusual franking for double rate.
