1940/1941, CAMP KOZIELSK (Smolensk): two postal stationery cards sent from Govara in Romania to the Polish Air Force Lieutenant Jan Kazimierz Czyz, internee at POW camp Kozielsk (Smolensk Province), the first card (6 L brown pictorial card, Mi.P96) sent from Govora (dated 22.4.1940) directly addressed to Kozielsk, at frontside transit datestamp ODESSA v Z, 25.1.40. The "Z" (literally 'to zet' someone as 'to spy on a person') in the datestamp indicates a CLANDESTINE SECRET-POLICE CENSOR, only recorded on mail from Polish internment camps in Romania to the recently occupied territories by the Red Army (Polish Campaign); the second card (4 L blue card, Mi.P101) sent from Govara via undercover address Central post office, P.O.Box 11C/12, Moscow, at frontside transit datestamp MOSCOW 8th POSTAMT v, 1.3.41. The serial 'v' in the datestamp also indicating clandestine secret-police censor. Additional stamps on both postcards were removed, probably due to censorship. Extremely rare P.O.W. and CENSOR MAIL!
