1874, 80 R orange as horizontal pair, cancelled with upside-down barred number postmark "45" and with dater "FUNCHAL 7/5 1874" on cover with red "PAID, LIVERPOOL, SHIP 4 MY 1874", red "2 cents", black "PD" and blue "CHAPLAIN DHTRIBOU, MAY 6 1874, U.S.NAVY." to Bangor / USA, on the reverse with red K1 "NEW YORK, MAY 25, PAID ALL". Both stamps with perforation faults, left stamp with left upper corner round, letter above with traces of opening and approx. 4cm thick tear, supported from the inside, cover cut right. Despite the stronger qualitative restrictions an interesting postal history cover. ÷ 1874, 80 R orange als waagerechtes Paar, einzeln entwertet mit kopfstehendem Balken-Nummernstempel "45" und beigesetztem K2 "FUNCHAL 7/5 1874" auf Brief mit rotem "PAID, LIVERPOOL, SHIP 4 MY 1874", rotem "2 Cents", schwarzem R1 "PD" und blauem "CHAPLAIN D.H.TRIBOU, MAY 6 1874, U.S.NAVY." nach Bangor/USA, rückseitig mit rotem K1 "NEW YORK, MAY 25, PAID ALL". Beide Marken mit Zahnunebenheiten, linke Marke linke obere Ecke rund, Brief oben mit Öffnungsspuren und ca. 4cm starkem Einriss, von innen gestützt, Umschlag rechts beschnitten. Trotz der stärkeren qualitativen Einschränkungen ein postgeschichtlich interessanter Beleg.
