1852 2 R.B.S. blue, Thiele printing, Plate I, No. 71, Type 1, used as single franking on foot post cover sent locally in Copenhagen in 1854, tied by numeral "1" and blue foot post datestamp "F: 12 8/5 54 P:". The stamp is of fresh colour with complete to wide margins all round - fine. The envelope has due to wear been opened and re-folded at bottom and the top flap is missing, but fine front. A FINE EXAMPLE OF THIS GOOD STAMP ON AN ATTRACTIVE FOOT POST COVER. (AFA 20,000 DKK = about 2,700 €) (Image)

1856, Extremely rare MUTE 4-RING CANCEL with centred dot (stummer 4-Ring Stempel mit zentrischem Punkt) on small cover. A nice small cover from Copenhagen bearing a 1854, 4 Skilling brown centrally and clear tied by mute 5-ring cancel in type I and alongside octagonal frame 2-line cancel "FRA KJÖBENHAVN" sent to Flensburg.
