1857 folded cover from Buenos Aires to Montevideo by the "Corca" on the River Plate, bearing large oval handstamp "SUCURSAL DE LA ESTAFETA GENERAL DE BUENOS AYRES/FRANCA/1857" (Branch Office of the General Post Office in Buenos Aires) in blue, dated inside '28 Nov. 1857', with usual cover folds, fine. (The clear handstamp was used by the Maritime Office for River Steamers, but it was actually privately-run by Bernal & Carrega shipping company under contract if Buenos Aires P.O.)
