1903 (Sep 15) Chief Secretary's Office printed 'CIRCULAR No 102' advising that from 1.10.1903, all official correspondence must be franked with stamps "perforated with the letters SA" and that any normal stamps in hand should be exchanged for punctured stamps. An important original document.
1902-04 THIN 'POSTAGE': 1/- brown marginal vertical strip from the upper-right corner of the sheet with complete Error of Watermark 'SUOTH' ACSC S30a, Plate Number '1' and Value/Sheet Number '1d 689887' in Vermilion, mounted in the margins but the stamps are unmounted, Cat $1500 for the watermark error plus a premium for the sheet number. The ACSC states that only two examples of the 'SUOTH' error have been recorded on the 1/-. [Most examples of the 'SUOTH' errors are missing the 'H' because they are corner pairs or blocks of 4 only]
1902-04 THIN 'POSTAGE': 1/- brown misperforated and with 'POSTAGE' and 'ONE SHILLING' Misplaced Downwards ACSC S30c, untidy Adelaide cancel, Cat $3000. The ACSC states that at least three used examples have been recorded, all punctured 'SA'. On the other two examples recorded by us, the displacement is less pronounced.
1905-12 CROWN/A SMALL FORMAT: Error of Watermark 'AUSTRLAIA' from the lower-right of the sheet 1) in full on 1d vertical strip of 4 (very scarce thus) ACSC S6a; and 2) large-part '[AU]STRLAIA' on 2d vertical strip of 3 S9a; Cat $400 but much scarcer than the similar but better-known 'SUOTH' errors.
