Superior to Gary Diffen's similar pair - the right-hand unit with rounded corner at upper-right - that sold for £480. Gary Diffen recorded only a block of 8, discovered in the late-1980s, later reduced to two singles and three pairs.

Not previously seen by us, absent from Gary Diffen's collection, and possibly the only recorded example. Note that this error occurred only in the first Perf 10 printing of the '2½d' on 4d stamps. Therefore, SG 229ba and 233a cannot exist, and should be deleted from the catalogue.
