image DOCUMENTS: 1677 Slave Grant written in Dutch reading in part [translated] "Johan Corta ... sells to Francois Vilgen ... a slave named Dingto, from the island of Madagascar ... for 55 Rix Dollars ... as the new owner Francois Vilgen must oblige the rights of the slave ...", multiple signatures including "A de Man" [Andries de Man; Fiscal to the Council of Policy], minor aging and a few small edge faults otherwise very fine. Ex John Fletcher mounted on his exhibit page.
