1860 Large Star Imperf 2d blue SG 2 horizontal pair with good to large margins & outer framelines on all sides plus the upper frameline from the adjoining unit at lower-right, a couple of light ironed-out creases, Cat £4000+. A scarce & desirable multiple. [Bernie Manning's Census recorded eight strips of 3 & seven pairs, many of which have significant defects. Perhaps the finest pair recorded - Ex Alfred Caspary - sold at our auction of 24.1.2004 for $9320]

1868-74 Truncated Star Perf 13 2d as SG 62 but the 1895 Plate II reprint in deep bright blue, horizontal pair Imperf Between, characteristic rough perfs, large-part o.g. See footnote below SG 82. Ex Gary Diffen, who stated that only four such pairs have been recorded.
1868-78 Crown/Q 1d orange-vermilion Imperf Pair SG 83a, margins good to very large with complete outer framelines, ironed-out horizontal crease that is barely evident from the face, large-part o.g., Cat £800.
1900 Boer War Charity 1d imperforate plate proofs on ungummed watermarked paper, in blue, violet, carmine, dull green & emerald-green, full margins. Very attractive.
