U.S., Collection of 3¢ Covers with Better Fancy Cancels, 1861-65, seven covers, all but one franked with 3¢ #65; includes 1866 block of four tied to envelope by Dayton OH town and target cancels, repaired at center bottom and refolded; a cover from Rochester NY with a black patent "donut" cancel tying a pink #65 (1981 PF certificate); Croton Falls NY pumpkin head (S-E #PH-P2) with "Missent" handstamp to St Paul MN (stamp reduced on opening); two crossroads cancels (S-E #GE-M15), one Mar 1 1865 from Brooklyn, the other with red Providence RI postmark of Nov 10 1866 (1865?); a fancy shield (S-E #PS-SD1) tying a rose pink (#64b) on a Blackstone MA (Feb 18, 1863); and an allover design for the Senate Chamber of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (endorsed lower left "Johnston/Senate"), tied by Harrisburgh postmark and fancy cancel (1982 PF certificate); excellent opportunity for these lovely covers, Fine to Very Fine.
