image [Texas] Seguin, clear Jun 12, 1909 duplex handstamp on a 1¢ postal card (UX20) soliciting payment of $2.10 to the Seguin Mutual Aid Association (a life insurance co-operative), the card was then remailed as a receipt for the payment by adding a 1¢ Franklin tied by a Jun 21 Seguin duplex handstamp; light bent at the right, F.-V.F. Included is an article explaining this once-common practice of remailing postal cards. (Image)
