Mozambique. 1857-58 Leather bound memo book kept by George Cheney, an American, while residing in Zanzibar, Mozambique, Quelimane and Aden, with a list of letters sent to his wife in Providence or to other people, giving the date and place of sending, route sent and vessel upon which they were sent, the destination and date of receipt in many cases, also lists of items shipped home. An interesting record for the research of maritime postal history.
