Undated Air Mail cover to G.B from an army sergeant with Bermuda 1d + 2½d block of eight all cancelled circular "POST / OFFICE / MARITIME / MAIL" rubber handstamps, circular violet "PASSED BY CENSOR / 19 / BERMUDA" on both sides; and a cover from H.M.S Malabar Casements, Bermuda, to USA with G.B 1d + 1½d cancelled by "RECEIVED FROM / H.M SHIPS" machine, blue tombstone H.M. Ship censor and circular "PASSED BY CENSOR / 11 / BERMUDA". Also cover franked 1/6 from Hamilton to a Canadian soldier at Up Park Camp, Jamaica, redirected to "U.S Marines, Goat Island" with circular "PASSED BY / NAVAL CENSOR". (3).

image 1942 (Dec 15) Cover franked 1/9 from Paget to England, with very scarce shield shaped "RELEASED / by Censor / Bermuda / (2)" in green. Apparently used on mail detained and released after the war, probably because the sender was suspected of spying, the few recorded examples all from the same sender at Elbow Beach. Photo on Page 88. 1943 (Apr 20) Cover from a Royal Navy Lieutenant to England franked 1/9, posted at Ireland Island, type CL6 censor seal, both sides with red "OPENED BY CENSOR / NO 12", a little staining at upper edge but very rare. Just one other example of this censor cachet recorded, not listed in the Bermuda Specialised Catalogue. Also a 1942 cover to the USA with red two line "PASSED BY / CENSOR", probably applied in the U.S.A. (2).

Green circular "PASSED BY CENSOR / 22 / BERMUDA" applied to both sides, with red 60 Centimes Bermuda "T" handstamp and violet "NO SERVICE / RETURN TO SENDER".
