Stansfield, 2/4 East Yorks Regt Bermuda" with oval Orderly Room cachet, franked War Tax 1d, and 1921 (Jan 1) cover franked Tercentenary 1d with boxed "ORDERLY ROOM / JAN / 1921 / BERMUDA DETACHMENT / 2ND BN. ROYAL SUSSEX REGT", both from Hamilton to G.B, the first with circular "P.C / BERMUDA". When the postage rate to G.B rose to 2d in May 1918 (due to the introduction of War Tax) soldiers continued to send letters at the 1d rate if an Orderly Room cachet was applied. The second cover clearly intended for this rate, but posted on the first day after the abolition of War Tax, the usual rate therefore 1d from this date. Scarce. (2).
