1865-1903 Crown CC 1d - 1/- with numeral cancels 1-11 or 13-15, also a late use of numeral "6", numeral "11" on a 2d with perfs trimmed on two sides, otherwise largely fine and a very scarce group (just missing number "12"), all clear strikes. Ireland Island. 1869 (Jan 4) Cover with H.M.S "Doris" printed flap addressed to H.M Dockyard, Woolwich, originally endorsed "Officers Letter" and via "St. Thomas". Both endorsements deleted and replaced by "via New York" and franked at the full 7d rate, a 1d rose-red and 6d dull purple cancelled by superb "3" type K1 numeral, superb "BERMUDA / I / PAID" and red London Paid datestamp on the front, "6" credit to the British Post Office, carried on the crop ship "Fak-Kee" to New York and the HAPAG "Allemania" to Southampton.
