1840 (Apr 14) "The Royal Gazette" newspaper printed and published by Donald McPhee Lee, the Queen's printer who printed the One Penny stamp surcharges in 1875. An interesting early Bermuda newspaper with lists of compensation paid to slave owners for slaves freed under the abolition act, adverts, shipping notices, etc.
