image 1873 (Oct 10) Cover franked 1d, from St. Georges to "Mr Henry Trott, Long Bird Island", inscribed in red ink "The Post Office authorities are respectfully requested to effect sure delivery of this letter to its address", cancelled oval "B/1" obliterator (type K2) with oval "ST GEORGES / BERMUDA" datestamp below. A couple of opening faults at upper edge, otherwise fine and a remarkable address; only two people lived on Long Bird Island at this date, the island having been joined to the mainland by a causeway in September 1871.
