1901-02 Covers (7), postcards (3), and fronts (5) including covers from South Africa to P.O.Ws (6, two addressed "P.O.W Officers Quarters, Darrells Island" or "c/o Officer Commanding Boer P.O.W Camp, Burtts Island"); picture postcards of Boer Prisoners Camp (posted to Austria in 1902 franked ½d + ¼d pair) or Boer P.O.Ws landing at Bermuda; 1902 card from a British guard on Hawkins Island; fronts from P.O.Ws (5) with censor cachets including triangular "PRISONERS OF WAR / Passed Censor / 3 / BERMUDA" and rare boxed "PRISONERS OF WAR / PASSED CENSOR / ― 4 ― / BERMUDA" (2, faults); also a cover from Transvaal to H.M Dockyard, Bermuda, with violet "F.F Canteen, No. 17". Mixed condition with some faults but an interesting group. (15).

1905 Picture postcard from Hamilton to USA franked 1d, the front signed by M.J de Villiers, with the message "This is the signature of a former Boer prisoner who when captured was brought to Bermuda. One of only 10 remaining on the Island". Also original 1901 photos of the work area and wash house on Morgans Island, and picture postcards depicting the Islands on which the Boer prisoners were held, Boer P.O.Ws landing at Bermuda, Boer Monument on Long Island, or Boers fishing. M.J de Villiers refused to sign the Oath of Allegiance, remaining in Bermuda for several years. (7).
