1914 (Feb 3) entire linen parcel tag to "Baker & Rouse/Kodak Ltd/Sydney" with rare franking of Monocolours 1d block of 6 tied to the reverse by Port Moresby cds, folded between the second & third columns. The only pre-WWII parcel tag we have seen from Papua. Presumably the package contained photographic film. Interestingly, the minimum parcel rate was 8d so it was not sent as a parcel. If sent as "Merchandise", the rate was 1d per 2oz x6 for a package weighing up to 12oz. If sent as "Printed Matter", the rate was ½d per 2oz x12 for a package weighing up to 24oz. [From April 1905, Baker & Rouse were exclusive agents for Eastman Kodak in Australia. In 1908, they merged with Kodak's local arm to form Kodak (Australasia) Pty Ltd]
