image Nepa / Tiveri. 1918 (Nov 30) Registered cover to W.T Wilson in England bearing 1911-15 ½d pair, 2d and 1916 1d all cancelled by the very scarce "NEPA / PAPUA" c.d.s (Lee 81), a fifth strike on the front, backstamped at Sydney and London. The tiny office at Nepa opened in 1910 to service the Lakekamu Goldfield, and closed in 1920; from 1910 until 1917 it was moved to Tiveri but continued to use the Nepa c.d.s. image Tahira. 1926 (Mar 15) Commercial cover to USA franked 3d (S.G. 98) cancelled by the very scarce "TAHIRA / PAPUA" c.d.s, a second strike alongside, backstamped at Sydney. The office at Tahira opened in December 1925 to serve the small New Guinea Copper Co. settlement; it closed ten months later in October 1926 shortly before the collapse of the Copper Co.
