1873 6d red-brown & blue, die II, p10 x 12½, large NZ wmk, good part A32 obliterator & MERCER / JY 25 / 82 d/s, believed to be the 3rd known example. Clearly within emergency period approved use of revenue stamps for postal purposes & not philatelic use. Whilst CP lists & prices 1882 4d, 6d & 1/- QVLTs as postally used, it does not list the earlier QVLTs PU, although several examples are now known of genuine postal use in the 1880s.
