1916 cover to Melbourne endorsed "Registered" & "36" in red with ½d pair & 1d strip of 3 all type a tied by 'MANUS/5JL16' cds straight-line 'Passed by Censor/["initials"]' on 1916, superb strike of the rare boxed 'Manus' h/s with 'Kaiserliche Station' removed (Powell #83; rated F) on the reverse & Melbourne arrival b/s of 9SE16, minor spotting mostly on the face.
1919 OHMS cover to France with Fifth Setting KGV ½d 4d & 5d plus Kangaroo 6d punctured 'OS' SG O9 (Cat £200 x8+ on cover) all tied by 'RABAUL/14AU19' cds, black/white R label, Sydney transit & Paris arrival b/s. A very rare cover for which the foreign latter rate was 2½d per ½oz x5 + 3d registration + ½d War Tax = 1/4d so ½d short-paid. [With the completed Treasury advice for purchase of stamps dated 7.8.1919]
