Comprising well-presented albums containing Dumfries PPCs (27); Portraits (36); PPCs illustrating Burns's works (72); humourous cards (36); Burns Cottage as photographed by many different publishers 1900s-1930s (c.75, apparently all different); the interior of the cottage (24); Alloway's auld haunted Kirk (15); Auld Brig o' Doon (36); Burns Monument, Alloway (47); the Brigs o'Ayr (22); etc. Lot also includes Poosie Nancie's and Mauchline, Tarbolton, the Monument, Kilmarnock; Statues and Mausoleum; and other Ayrshire scenes. One album is devoted to modern cards. All cards are in good or better condition, mostly unused and the majority are from 1900s - 1920s. A wonderful homage to a national hero.
