image The first Finnish Bible 1642! A beautiful item fully restored/conserved by a professional. Plenty of missing pages, some of which are fragmented have been primed with backing paper to ensure preservation and completely missing pages have been replaced with facsimile versions. So all pages are included either as originals or as copies. The binding has been renewed and is in nice condition. The back of the book is covered with newer leather (preserved old leathers are included). It is estimated that less than a hundred copies of these Bibles have survived, of which less than ten copies are known to be privately owned. A rarity! (Image)
