1920 (c.) Sayers Allport & Potter humorous advertising card for SAP Rabbit Poison 'That's why I'm the only rabbit on the run!', minor blemishes, used in South Australia with the stamp removed. [Sayers Allport & Potter was a Sydney-based wholesale pharmaceutical & veterinary supplies business, catering mainly to the rural sector. They were notorious for SAP, a phosphorus-based rabbit poison]
Balldale (Riverina): Real photo mountains of bags of wheat inscribed 'DARLING & SON BALLDALE', bumped corners but fine used under cover. [Balldale is in the southern Riverina, close to the Murray. The Draling Family were prominent farmers & established a large flour-milling business in Sydney]

Broken Hill: Real photo 'DRIVER PACKHARD AND THE PROVISION WAGGON [sic] JAN 09' being escorted along a major street by a troop of mounted police, a bit over-exposed but fine unused. Great social history. [A standoff between mine management & unions turned ugly when a mob attacked and severely beat a group of mine officials. When the police arrived they were also attacked. A newspaper report speaks of one Charlie Packard driving the supply wagon & 'always escorted by 20 to 30 troopers...']
Broken Hill: Real photo of a mock grave & headstone 'HERE LIES/PETER/CORNEY/1909 SCAB/SOFT AS THE FADING RAYS OF VESPER/AT THE BREAKING OF THE DAY/IN ANSWER TO THE UNION'S WHISPER/PASSED HIS SCABBY LIFE AWAY...' with his (?!) bicycle alongside, minor blemishes but fine unused. Murwillumbah: 1907 Zerbst Studios real photo 'N STREET M'BAH/AFTER THE FIRE' showing destruction of a street of houses and shops with many lookers-on, fine unused; and no publisher 'Murwillumbah Fire, Sept 15th 1907/...', minor defects (used with very fine BN '412' & 'BYRON BAY' cds). Nice duo. [Residents had been agitating for a local fire brigade but to no avail. They had to fight the fire with one fire cart and a bucket brigade. Some 60 buildings were lost on what was dubbed 'Red Sunday']
