Sweden, AXEL MUNTHE (1857-1949). Swedish-born medical doctor and psychiatrist, best known as the author of The Story of San Michele. He served as personal physician of the Crown Princess, Victoria of Baden, continuing to do so when she became Queen consort, and until the time of her death in 1930. C. 90 handwritten addresses on covers 1895-1911 to Crown Prince later King Gustaf V from e.g. Rome, Capri, Venice and Karlsruhe, also postage due and registration.
