1847-O net Fine perhaps better. Fairly well-worn typical of pre-1880 gold coins but still sound. The only issue is what appears to be a 3mm blob of solder (?) adhering to the rev above the eagle's head, with evidence of some attempt to remove it. Small gold coins were rarely requested by gold depositors of the day, and even at the scant mintage of 124,000, the 1847-O has the highest mintage of any of the four mints that produced quarter eagles that year. However, survival rates are very low for this issue and prices rise dramatically beyond grades of XF with Unc coins bringing close to five figures in recent auctions. Worth consideration despite the problems! (Image)
