image ADEN: WWI undated native cover with very fine strikes on both sides of the rare triangular Ottoman cachet used at Lahej in rosine, minor blemishes & opened a little roughly at right. See Passer at Plate 76. [The Sultanate of Lahej included the area of Aden-proper. In July 1915, Lahej was attacked by Ottoman troops from Yemen & occupied for the duration of the War. No similar example was located in the Aden collections formed by Ed Druce, Jerone Hart or Gary Brown]
