1847 (Feb 27) Entire from New Bedford to London "pr Independence" with a rather blurred but readable "WORTHING / SHIP LETTER". About a dozen examples of this Ship Letter handstamp recorded in black of which five occur on letters from this one voyage, all poor strikes due to inadequate inking of a dry and dirty handstamp.
