1811-49 Entire letters all with a Sussex connection, comprising 1811 letter from Lisbon to Mayfield reporting the death of an Officer in Portugal, endorsed "Missent to Cuckfield"; 1830 Dover Ship Letter on an entire from Boulogne to Hastings sent by the coast road; 1849 letter written on a ship off Brighton with London Ship Letter; 1830 letter from H.M.S "Hyperion" at Newhaven; 1833-41 letters from France to Rye sent via Calais, despatched by the coast route (2) or endorsed "Missent to London"; and 1838 India Letter Deal on a Cape letter to Uckfield sent via London. (8).
