1583 (May 3) Entire letter from Jean Chauvyn in Dieppe, written and addressed in French, to Bartholomeo Corsini in London, the address panel endorsed "Pqa" with a "G½" (half groat = 3d) postal charge applied by the Merchant Strangers Post. The letter includes the postscript "If Jean Aoud has left when I receive anything for you I shall send it as you have ordered to Mr Didsbury of Rye so that he may send it to you".
