Herout & de Handel Line. 1847-48 Entire letters from New York to Cognac carried on the final voyages of the Herout & de Handel Line steamers "Union", "New York" or "Missouri" (final voyage of the shipping line), all with "LE HAVRE / PAQ. REG." arrival datestamps, number "1" in blue (2) or number "2" in red. This line only completed nine round transatlantic voyages before it ceased operations.
