image 1807-73 Entire letters and a few covers all sent between G.B and the USA via Liverpool forwarders, a few from or to Europe, most with forwarding agent's cachets including Guion & Co with "Recd after the Pacific sailed" written within the cachet, Klingender Bros cachet on cover to Kentucky advertised but unclaimed and returned with red "SENT BACK TO ENGLAND / WITHOUT A REASON / FOR NON DELIVERY", also cachets of Williston & Whitney, Meade King & Co., Cardwell Bros, Willis Latham & Gair (cachet endorsed "Per Herald"), Hagarty & Jerdein, D & T Willis, Todd Naylor & Co., T.W Smith & Co, Rathbone Bros & Co., etc., a few others with endorsements, many forwarding agent cachets very fine and unlisted by Rowe. U.S Consulate. 1830 (May 24) Entire letter from Liverpool to New York, backstamped large boxed "FORWARDED / from the / CONSULATE OF THE U.S.A / LIVERPOOL", put on the "Silas Richards" of the Blue Swallowtail Line, charged 6c. Not recorded by Rowe, very unusual.
