A rare book & the only example we have seen.
AUSTRALIAN COLONIES - NEW SOUTH WALES: 'The Postage Stamps, Envelopes, Wrappers, Post Cards and Telegraph Stamps of New South Wales' by AF Basset Hull published for the Royal Philatelic Society, London by Stanley Gibbons, Part I 260pp + 17 photogravure plates ('Q' is loose), and Part II 344pp + 24 plates; both attractively bound in matching half-leather, most pages are fine to very fine but there is significant foxing so offered at a very conservative estimate.

No plates included.
AUSTRALIAN COLONIES - SOUTH AUSTRALIA: 'South Australia with Notes and Publishers' Prices' by Francis H Napier & Gordon Smith published by Stanley Gibbons (1894), 140pp octavo + three plates; attractive non-contemporary binding, a few blemishes & the original cover has been expertly restored, the pages are generally very fine. Another rare early book.
AUSTRALIAN COLONIES - TASMANIA: 'The Stamps of Tasmania: a History of the Postage Stamps, Envelopes, Post Cards, Revenues etc'" by Arthur Basset Hull published by the Philatelic Society, London (1890), 142pp + 9 autotype plates h/b apparently in the original binding with the first page endorsed "DA Hailes/HMS Mildura/Sydney NSW/January 1894", some soiling but the pages are mostly very fine. Also included is the 1884 Tasmanian Lands Department map of the Colony, some separation and sympathetic reinforcing with archival tape.

Without doubt, this is the finest philatelic book of all time, produced on the highest-quality paper, extensively illustrated with 64 black & white plates and 12 exceptional colour plates. This is the deluxe edition bound in red Morocco leather with the Royal coat-of-arms emblazoned in gold on the face, a couple of small faults on the leather & some minor spotting. [Superior to the example in our auction of 31.8.2020 that sold for $4312]
