image 1879 (Mar 29) Cover from Constantinople to USA franked G.B 2½d mauve, presumably intended to be posted into the British P.O but actually posted at the Austrian P.O, the stamp therefore disallowed and marked "O" (twice) alongside, the "CONTANTINOPEL" c.d.s and a "T" handstamp to the left with a "NEW YORK / DUE / 10 / CENTS" datestamp.
