image POSTAL HISTORY: Underpaid mail with Australian Postage Dues group from 1920s-30s to Melbourne x10 unpaid or with KGV frankings and a variety of markings including three each with 'CHOMAK/DUE' and 'RATTA/DUE' semi-circular h/s, 1936 Golden Ox Brand illustrated advertising cover airmail from Chittode franked KGV 3p 9p & 4a with 'GPO MELBOURNE/2' cds and 1d Due, 1937 airmail franked KGV 1a x6 with Melbourne 'T["10d"]' h/s and Dues 1d block of 10 (one faulty), 1945 with KGVI 1½d solo to Queensland taxed Brisbane 'TAX3D' h/s and Dues 1d strip of 3, 1954 airmail to NSW with Buildings 4a pair & 6a with Sydney 'T ["11"]' h/s and Dues 4d & 7d tied cds, etc, also 1943 Escort Group/Bombay OHMS cover with KGVI 1½d 'SERVICE' official censored & taxed 'T["1½"]' without Dues affixed, condition quite mixed.  (16)

image POSTAL HISTORY: 1939 (Dec 22) registered airmail parcel tag for National Bank of India at Madras to their London office with extraordinary 6-value two-reign franking on both sides comprising KGV 10r x4 including a pair & 25r pair, plus KGVI 1a 2a & 8a all with 'I/NB' perfins & 2r pair all tied by 'MADRAS/REG' cds, the rate of "94-11-0" (ie 94r10a) confirmed on the face, 'COMMERCIAL PAPERS/AND CORRESPONDENCE' h/s partly obscured by the R label, some minor creasing as should be expected but the 25r pair is very fine. Ex Ted Proud, who assessed the rate as Empire letter 2½a per ounce x50 + airmail supplement of 14a per ½oz x49 + registration 3a + late fee 1a. BPA Certificate (2019).
