35: '35' First Type (with side bars) of Durham Ox largely superb almost-complete strike on Beaded Oval 6d blue, minor faults. Rated RRRR. PO renamed from Hardy's Inn 1.1.1855. [Loddon-Campaspe; Goldmining]
169: '169' First Type of Crowlands largely fine almost-complete strike on Laureate 'NINEPENCE' overprint on 10d purple-brown, trimmed perfs. Rated RRRR. PO 1.6.1851; closed 31.12.1854; re-opened 1.4.1858. [Goldfields]
349: Type 1 with side-bars bold strike on turned 1883 OHMS lettersheet with very fine strike of the almost as rare 'GREEN HILL/MR28/81/...' b/s, also with largely very fine 'LANGLEY' b/s, minor blemishes. Rated RRRRR. PO 1.7.1861; closed 1.4.1891. [NB: all four recorded strikes of the cds have the date error '81' for '83']

39: '39' of Broken River/Benalla large-part very fine strike of Half-Lengths 2d cinnamon with close to huge margins & a fragment of the adjoining unit at left (Cat £190). Rated RR. Superb!: an opportunity to add a lovely Classic stamp to a postmarks collection.
1927 Canberra empty booklet cover with HMS 'Renown' on the reverse autographed by the Parliament House postmaster & 28 of his staff, reinforced with archival tape along the fold.

1927 Canberra "jumbo" booklet of 3½ of the eight marginal panes of 8 (2x4) stapled in the upper margins with backing paper of the same stock as the issued Canberra booklets, minor rust around the staple otherwise remarkably fine. Rare. [Geoff Kellow at page 63 states "Several are recorded, most with some panes of stamps removed". In fact, this is only the second complete example we have recorded. Long considered a 'mystery' issue, perhaps of private manufacture, Kellow goes on to state that these booklets were prepared by the Post Office: a Post Office memorandum states "...these will be in strips of 8 fastened into lots of 80 to represent the number in the whole sheet". If the Post Office could call a Registration Envelope a 'Registered Letter', it could call a block a 'strip']
1935-37 CofA Watermark 2/- (2d red with the Watermark Inverted) with 'WHEREVER THERE IS A MONEY ORDER/POST OFFICE' on the Face ACSC B47Aa, a few minor tonespots but of very fine facial appearance with no rust around the staple, Cat $600.
1998 Wetland Birds $9 'pochette' with 45c x20. A rather scarce little item, unusually with the covering letter/questionnaire that was sent to consumers with the 'booklet' and the Business Reply Paid envelope. We have not previously seen the whole package.

1945 airmail cover with naval crest in green at U/L to GB with KGVI 3d purple-brown x3 tied by the woodcut 'TOKYO BAY/JAPAN' cancel with 'HMAS SHROPSHIRE/Official Signing of/Japanese Surrender' cachet in red and British 'POST/OFFICE - MARITIME/MAIL' machine in red, opened-out & minor blemishes. Unusual usage.
1949 airmail cover (230x168mm) to London with rare franking of unoverprinted 3d 1/- Lyrebird & Robes Thin Paper 5/- strips of 3 (Cat $750 for a single on cover) tied by 'AUST ARMY PO/11JE49/214' cds in use at Empire House in Tokyo, vertical fold & minor blemishes. A very scarce franking in any circumstances, all the more desirable for being a BCOF in Japan usage. ['Tillie' Mitchell's similar cover with 5/- pair sold for $659]

1949 (Nov 5) registered airmail cover with rare solo franking of unoverprinted Thin Paper Robes 5/- (ACSC 213B) tied by 'AUST ARMY PO/214' cds used at Tokyo, boxed R cachet in violet at L/R, 'No 8 BASE PO/ A ' transit b/s of the same date, Adelaide arrival b/s of 11NO49, very minor bends.
This is a really significant item. Firstly, the BCOF Overprints were withdrawn on 12.2.1949, after which unoverprinted stamps were used. Secondly, it is a rare non-Forces cover with imprint & wax seals of the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation (Tokyo) on the reverse. Thirdly, this is a very scarce stamp on any type of cover. The ACSC prices it at $450 on cover. However, it is not recorded & priced as a solo franking.
