1853 part-entire (address panel only) to "The Admiralty/White Hall" endorsed "Ship Letter by Dido" rated "1/-" with legible strike of the rounded-boxed 'PAID/("28.2.53")/FREMANTLE' h/s in red.
1856 entire to "AH Stone/Perth" with 1d black pair (faults but the R/H unit at least has full margins) & void grid cancel, very fine strike of the undated double-oval 'POST OFFICE/[crown]/("2.2.56")/GUILDFORD/WESTERN AUSTRALIA' h/s alongside, minor blemishes. [The letter is signed by Magistrate "Jonathan Jones" who complains that he has had to suspend court hearings for the lack of a second magistrate. Jones had arrived per 'James Pattison' 18.6.1834 & by 1839 was a publican & landhholder at Guildford. The addressee Alfred H Stone arrived 12.10.1829 per 'Caroline'. A lawyer, during the 1850s he held several government positions including Crown Solicitor]

1901 (Jan 25) Tatts cover to Hobart with very fine 'MURRIN MURRIN/WA' cds & 'R'-in-cogwheel h/s, fine strike of the rare boxed 'No.../REGISTERED/25JAN01/MOUNT MALCOLM WA' & triple-oval 'REGISTERED/GPO PERTH' transit backstamps, minor toning. [Goldmining]
1902 Bewick & Moreing, Mining Engineers long cover to London with ornate wax seal with 'crossed hammers' logo on back, Swans 2½d blue pair tied 'KALGOORLIE/FE27/02/W.A - PO' duplex (type DxPO-e, recorded 1901-02 only) paying double letter rate, London hooded '24 MR 02' arrival b/s, minor blemishes & fault at U/L revealing that the envelope is linen-backed.
1903 cover to England with Swans 1d red x3 and 1d pink strip of 3 tied by 'R' in oval h/s, 'REGISTERED/PERTH W.A' oval d/s on face with 'POSTED OUT OF COURSE' cachet in violet alongside, 'REGISTERED/LONDON' oval transit on face and 'BRIDLINGTON/JU22/03/STATION-OFFICE' arrival b/s, light central fold between stamps and minor edge faults. Apparently the registration was an after-thought, the 1d pinks being added later to pay this fee, and the item dropped into a letterbox rather than being handed in across the PO counter as required for registered articles.

1905 double-rate illustrated advertising cover for Equitable Life Assurance with 2d yellow x2 tied by superb Perth machine cancel, minor blemishes & a minor repaired tear at the base.
1907 postcard (R.M.S. "Omrah" Orient Line steamship; undivided-back) sent to England posted on board ship with Swans 1d pink (minor surface faults) tied Egypt 'PORT SAID/21 IV 07' cds with 'PAQUEBOT' boxed h/s Hosking #2858 alongside paying Empire rate, couple of corner bends.
1913 (Jan 24) town letter with Fremantle Chamber of Commerce imprint on the flap & scarce franking of 'ONE PENNY' on 2d yellow, neatly opened three sides. [The FCC logo bears a striking resemblance to that of the Carlton Football Club]
1913 (Dec 19) 3d Registration Envelope to Canada "via Sydney" with WA ½d (corner fault) + Kangaroo 1d red pair tied by 'ESPERANCE' cds, red/white R label, 'VANCOUVER/BC' transit & 'CALGARY/ALTA' arrival b/s, minor spotting. A very scarce combination franking.
