1865/1930 ca., VICTORIA TRAVELLING POST-OFFICES, comprehensive collection of the Railway Postmarks from Victoria with ca.500 stamps and more than 50 covers, cards and stationeries. Included are all kinds of T.P.O. postmarks from number 1 to 19 with barred numerals, duplex cancellations, single circle daters & octagonal types, i.a. partial strike of large octagon TPO2-Dn1 on 4d rose-red (only one further example on single stamps recorded!), partial strike of octagon T10-Dn1 (M.G.10) on 2d lilac (only 5 examples on single stamps recorded!) and plenty of other valuable items, furthermore oval pmk TPO1-Up1 used on transit on 1870 cover from Ballarat to Sandhurst, various single and double circle daters 'English Mail T.P.O.', machine cancellations etc. Also included are numerous T.P.O. daters used on Australian 'Roo' & 'KGV' stamps, postmarks on incoming mail and other specialities, mostly F/VF condition.
