Post-WWII philatelic covers with apparently all-different TPO datestamps, a few commercial items noted, some toning but generally very fine. (98 covers + probably as many pieces)
1931-37 commercial covers & a front all from trains with 'LATE FEE/ 1D /*', 'LATE FEE/ 1D /TO PAY' two different, boxed 'Posted on train/without late fee/...' & boxed 'Posted in Late Fee/letter receiver at/ALBURY RAILWAY STATION/...', all but the last with Postage Dues affixed, condition variable.

Great Northern Railway: unframed 'TPO/No 2 N/ A ' superb cancel & double-circle 'GNRP/AP1/[87]/NSW' (no year slugs) light b/s on 1d Postal Card Armidale-Sydney, large elaborate cachet for 'HG MALLAM/CHEMIST/.../ARMIDALE' on the reverse. The only recorded example on cover. Ex Roy Holland. [Most of the early cancels are recorded only on stamp or piece]
- Great Northern Railway: vertical oval 'TPO/No 2 N/ B ' largely fine cancel & 'TRAVELLING PO No 2 NORTH B /NO3/87/NSW' light b/s on 1d Postal Card Tamworth-Sydney, light soiling/toning. Rated 8: the only recorded example on cover.
Great Northern Railway: 16mm 'GNRP/NSW' almost fine cancel & largely very fine double-circle 'GNRP/DE20/1875/NSW' cds (ERD) on 1d Postal Card to Sydney, docketed as from Muswellbrook.
Great Western Railway: Vertical Oval 'TPO/No 3/ W ' largely very fine cancel on Emu 2d & 'TRAVELLING PO No 3 WEST/NO26/91/NSW' b/s on cover to "Loombah/Via Molong", some staining mostly on the reverse. Rated 8 by Richard Peck: the only recorded example on cover.
Great Western Railway: 18mm 'R P/NSW' very fine cancel on DLR 2d on mourning cover to "Newmartin [?] Blue Mountains", light b/s of the oval 'TRAVELLING POST WEST/AP--/ D /81/NSW' (B1), damaged flap.

Great Western Railway: double-circle 'G W R P/MR14/18[79]/NSW' (year missing) largely very fine b/s & poor 'RP/NSW' cancel on cover with 'PARRAMATTA', 'GOULBURN' & very fine 'GINNINDERRA/NSW' transits & 'CANBERR/NSW' arrival (date inverted), minor defects. Rated 8 by Richard Peck. [An excellent cover for a Canberra/ACT collection]
Great Western Railway: oval 'TRAVELLING POST WEST/NO14/ U 83 2 /NSW' d/s ('U' is sideways) very fine b/s on 4d Registration Envelope 'MOUNT-VICTORIA' to 'WINDSOR'. Rated 7 by Richard Peck.
Bundaberg Railway: 'BUNDABERG RY 1/SE12/88/QU[EENSLAND]' superb strike on 1d. Rare: we have recorded only one other example, on which the numeral '1' is not present. [Hugh Campbell at page 86 states the Bundaberg to Moolboolamon Branch Line was opened 10.7.1881, and was extended to Mount Perry in 1884. At page 87 he states an example of FE25/89 is the only other recorded example]
Central Railway: 'CENTRAL RY/AP11/90/QUEENSLAND' largely fine strike on 6d. Rare: the only example we have recorded. Hugh Campbell at page 85 states the Rockhampton-Westwood section was opened 17.9.1867 & reached Longwood in 1892. The cds is unrecorded by Campbell.
- Central Railway: 'TPO No 1 CENTRAL/2NO31/QUEENSLAND' three part- to fine strikes on 2d & 3d on beautiful advertising cover illustrated on both sides for Blackall Motor Co, to Brisbane, minor tonespots.
Great Northern Railway: 'G N RAILWAY/ 1 OC10/-- 1 /QUEENSLAND' eight partial to complete strikes on First Sideface 1d brown x7 (another stamp & the U/L corner torn-off) on cover to London, Rockhampton transit of OC10/79 & London arrival b/s of NO29/79, the address crudely obliterated. Tragic albeit rare. [Recorded by Hugh Campbell at page 87 where he states only one dated example is recorded & "...not known on cover"]
Great Northern Railway: 'TPO No 1 NR/DOWN 19SE15/QUEENSLAND' four poor to fair strikes & rare red & black/white 'TPO No 1 NR' R label, Brisbane transit b/s & superb 'PASSED BY CENSOR' h/s in violet, to Finland with Helsinki transit & 'ABO TURKU/13 X1 15/ABO' arrival b/s, minor blemishes.
Great Northern Railway: 'TPO No 2 NORTHERN RY/ DOWN / MR16/01/QUEENSLAND' superb strike (affected by closed spokehole), 1d & 2d pair tied to Tatts cover by BN '573' & very fine 'REGISTERED/TPO No 2 NORTHn Ry' h/s
Maryborough Railway: 'MARYBROUGH RY/ 2 DE14/89 2 /[QUEENS]LAND' superb strike on 1d. [Hugh Campbell at page 86 states the Maryborough-Gympie Branch Line was opened 6.8.1881. At page 88 he states some six examples of the cds are recorded]
Southern & Western Railway: 'TPO No 3 S&WR/DOWN 11JY21/QUEENSLAND' three poor to part-strikes & rare red & black/white 'TPO No 3 WEST' R label, to New Zealand, minor blemishes.
Southern & Western Railway: 'TPO No 5 S&W/DOWN 19MR23/QUEENSLAND' overlapping strikes on KGV 1½d black-brown x2 & 2d orange with rare red/white 'TPO NO 5 Southern/& Western R'way' R label, to British Guiana with transit b/s of Seattle & New York and 'REGISTRATION/11MY/23/GPO BG' arrival b/s, minor blemishes.
Central Australia Railway: 'C[EN. AU]S. RLY. CONSTN TPO/13OC27' cds (no base inscription) large-part very fine strike on KGV 1½d red. Rated RRR. PO 29.9.1927; closed 31.7.1929. Used during construction phase of the Adelaide-Alice Springs Line; replaced by the Quorn-Alice Springs TPO service. [Far superior to the B2 strike that sold at our auction of 22.6.2019 for $527]
East-West Railway: 'E-W RLY CONSTRN CAR/8JL--/[S.A]' largely superb strike on KGV 4d orange. Ex John Forrest: sold at the Prestige auction of 10.3.2007 for $611.
English Mail TPO: 'ENG MAIL TPO/29DE--06/S AUSTRALIA' (ERD) on 2d & Long Type 6d on PPC to GB. [The rate was 1d + 6d late fee; the 2d letter rate was paid in error]
Great Northern Railway: squared-circle 'G.N. RAILWAY/---/S.A' (date indistinct) largely fine b/s on 1882 OHMS wrapper to "Railway Works/Quorn Railway", 'UNCLAIMED' h/s & DLO b/s in purple. Rated RRRR+: the only example recorded on cover. [Recorded 1882 only]
Northern Extension Railway: 'N EX RAILWAY/SP6/72/S.A' light but obvious strike on DLR 2d with 'S.T.' (Superintendent of Telegraphs) Overprint (a couple of faults). Rated RRRRR: no examples recorded on cover.
Quorn-Alice Springs TPO: 'QUORN-ALICE SPRINGS/29JE31/T.P.O.' largely superb strike on KGV 2d on cover to "AMP/Adelaide". Rated RRR. From Quorn-Stuart TPO 35/7/1930; to Central Australian Rail TPO 11/3/1957.
Railway: 25mm 'RAILWAY PO/ 1 /JA6/1866/S-A' largely very fine strike with Kapunda cds alongside. Rated RRRR. Ex John Forrest. [NB: Gang number '1' is sideways]

Road Mail North-East: 'ROAD MAIL N EAST/FE1/1868/S-A' light but discernible strike on piece. Rated RRRRR. Ex John Forrest. [Not recorded in 'Hand-Held Postmarks'. Tony Presgrave recorded it but hadn't seen an example]
