image 1857/1910 ca., TASMANIA BARRED NUMERAL CANCELLATIONS, collection of ca.110 stamps with postmarks from number 4 to 362, comprising mostly very clear & full strikes in various types, reallocations and obviously some scarcer items. Included are 27 predominantly imperforated 'Chalon Heads' (SG 25 ff.) to be considered estimating a basic stamp value, followed by a major part of 'Sideface' issues with a vast array of different numeral cancellations. Also included are very unusual examples, i.a. two stamps each with barred "1" killer-type Melbourne apparently applied on arrival. Recommended postal history source for specialists! (Image)
