1883/91: 4 c. pale brown, a vertical pair used on 1883 cover to Varazze, Italy with superb circular cachet of "Peninsular And Oroental Steam Navigation Co." at left in red, tied by SINGAPORE circular handstamp in black with "Singapore / Paid" cds in red adjacent (Aug 14). Slitted twice for disinfection on face panel with reverse showing Varazze arrival cds. Slightly aged and perfs. touched at top but an appealing cover. Illustrated in Edition D'Or XLV on page 71.
