1855 London Printings 1d dark green SG 1, margins just clear - at L/R - to large with a fragment of the adjoining unit at base, numeral '28' cancel of Kooringa, Cat £500. Superb!
1855 London Printings 2d imperforate plate proof pair from the right of the sheet in black on ungummed unwatermarked wove paper, margins good to humungous.
1855 London Printings 2d imperforate plate proof pair from the upper-right corner of the sheet in black on ungummed unwatermarked wove paper, margins good to elephantine! & showing the estremity of the plate at the top. A magnificent piece, the spacing between the impressions demonstrating why issued stamps with full margins can be very difficult to obtain.
1855 London Printings 2d imperforate plate proof block of 4 in black on ungummed unwatermarked wove paper, good even margins, light ironed-out crease at the base of the upper units.
1855 London Printings 2d rose-carmine SG 2, an enormous stamp with margins good to huge & fragments of the adjoining units at top & base, Cat £85. Superb!
1856-58 Adelaide Printings Imperf 1d yellow-green SG 6, margins just clear to good except at L/R where just touched, unused, Cat £9000. Offered "as is": with such narrow margins, this may be an example of SG 13, from which the roulettes have been removed.
1856-58 Adelaide Printings 2d pale red SG 9 horizontal strip of 3, margins just touching - at L/L - to good, the first unit creased & the third unit with a light stain, part-o.g., Cat £2250+. A very scarce unused multiple. RPSofL Certificate (1959) mentions the crease but not the stain which, nonetheless is evident from the accompanying photograph.
1856-58 Adelaide Printings 1/- orange SG 12, margins just touching (at lower-right) to large, unusual All-Over Kiss Print, dumb cancel of Adelaide, Cat £500+. Ex Harry Lower.

1868-71 Remainders of Rouletted Stock Perf 11½-12½ 9d grey-lilac Rouletted at the Base SG 49a, GPO cds of JU18/72, Cat £275. An attractive example of this underrated item, which is much scarcer than many more highly-catalogued stamps.
1868-79 Perf 11½-12½ '3-PENCE' on 4d Prussian blue SG 66, excellent colour & well centred, trimmed perfs at the base, GPO cds of FE1/71, Cat £850. More attractive than the previous lot.
1868-79 Perf 11½-12½ '3-PENCE' on 4d deep bright ultramarine SG 68, a "jumbo" stamp with exceptional centring, one tiny central pinhole that barely detracts from what is a majestic example of this attractive stamp, large-part o.g., Cat £180.
1868-78 Crown/Q 1d orange-vermilion Imperforate single SG 83a, margins close to large with complete outer framelines & a fragment of the adjoining unit at right, neat Rays '214', Cat £1300 for a used pair.
1870-73 Perf 11½-12½ & 10 '3-PENCE' on 4d pale ultramarine SG 102 Perf 11½x10 from the left of the sheet with vertical watermark line at left, presumably imperf at left & trimmed well clear of the design, unused, Cat £600.
1876-1900 Broad Star Perf 11½-12½ 9d rose-lilac with Small Holes SG 123 block of 8 (4x2), a few characteristic irregular perfs, light crease at the base of the lower units, full unmounted o.g., Cat £240++ for mounted singles.

1876-1900 Broad Star 9d rose-lilac with Large Holes SG 124 horizontal corner strip of 3 from the lower-right of the sheet with the enormous perforated sheet margin at the base as a result of this value of smaller size being printed on paper intended for the earlier & larger values, unused.

1876-1904 De La Rue Crown SA (Narrow) Watermark 2d orange-red Perf 10 as SG 168 but Mixed Perforations with additional row of Perf 11½ at top, light squared circle cancel, a few uneven perfs. Unlisted in Gibbons and absent from Gary Diffen's collection. The stamp was originally Perf 10 all around with the top perforations cutting through the design at the Queen's crown creating a 'dwarf' stamp; the additional row of Perf 11½ was applied to 'rescue' the stamp's original size, but was misplaced upwards to include a part of the stamp above; it is quite remarkable that the stamp was separated in such a way as to retain both lines of perforations, and likely that others from the same row were not so lucky as to survive intact.
1886-96 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' Perf 11½-12½ 2/6d to £20 missing the £4 yellow - but including the £5 brown that is absent from most such sets - each with 12½mm 'SPECIMEN' Overprint (15mm on the £5 brown), a few problems but most are fine to very fine with large-part streaky o.g. These are from the 1891 special printing from which sets were provided to the UPU.
